Susumu Ikeda, D.C.,D.A.C.N.B.

Dr. Ikeda is from Japan and attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa after completing a three year pre-med curriculum at State University of New York and University of New England. He graduated Cum Laude with a doctor of chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2012.

While he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, he also attended advanced educational seminars from Carrick Institute for neurological rehabilitation of physical and neurological disorders. He joined Dr. Gail Henry as an associate doctor specializing in neurological rehabilitation upon graduating and obtaining his license to practice in Texas. He has continued post-graduate education with the Carrick Institute and has become a Diplomate of the American College of Neurology Board in 2014.

 

In addition to functional neurological training, he is a certified practitioner for Interactive Metronome (IM), Active Release Technique (ART), Functional Movement System (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Y-balance testing and kinesio taping. He incorporates all of these techniques on an individual basis for each patient based on findings of an extensive neurological examination in order to make appropriate changes in physical and neurological function for each patient for long term effects and quality of living. Dr. Ikeda explains his neurological findings thoroughly to each patient and what methods of treatment will facilitate healing and stabilizing that patient’s individual physical and neurological disorder. He builds up individual treatment plan and set their goals with patients. He is dedicated to achieving long term health and optimal physical function for each patient.Dr. Ikeda will be happy to discuss with you any health or physical disorders you or a loved one may have.

Dr.Ikeda practiced in Houston Chiropractic Rehabilitation between 2012-2018 with Dr.Gai Henry.

We are specialized in functional neurology and saw patients with parkinson's disease, concussion, traumatic brain injury, developmental disorders, dystonia, gait disorders and other neurological disorders.
